Choosing the right school for your child is one of the most important decisions you will make as a parent. Here are some questions parents frequently ask. If you have a question not answered below, please feel free to contact us at (585) 338-3362 or Email:NorthridgeChristianSchool@gmail.com.
What is the class size?
Each class has a maximum of twenty students.

Do I have to be of a particular denomination to attend Northridge Christian School?
No. Our students come from a wide variety of local churches and from families who do not regularly attend church. We believe in teaching time tested truths from the Bible while children are forming their value systems, giving them the tools needed to make wise decisions as they grow up.
Do academics suffer because of Bible lessons?
No, academics and Bible lessons complement each other. Middle schools and junior highs across the area welcome our graduates because of their strong academics and moral character.
I’ve never considered a private school before. Do you have to be wealthy to attend?
No. Our tuition is very affordable when compared with private schools in our area.
Do you have a dress code?
Yes. We have a school uniform with many options. In addition to being economical for parents, it helps reduce distractions and unnecessary competition in school.
Do you take kids with special needs?
Yes. Each child is considered on a case by case basis. Children who have classified special needs can often receive services while attending North.
Will my child take the school bus to and from school?
Students who live within 15 miles of our school get free school bus transportation from the public school district where they live. For example, if you live in Greece, your child will get picked up and brought home by a Greece Central school bus. No busing is provided for pre-k students.
Is there any chance your school will close, like so many other schools have?
No. Our school often has a waiting list, and is a ministry of a thriving church with many young families from across the area.
Are your teachers certified?
Yes.
Do your students participate in the New York State Tests for English Language Arts and Mathematics?
Yes. All students in grades 3-6 take the ELA and Math tests.
How much turnover is there among the teachers and administrators?
Very little. Most of the teachers and administrators have been working together for ten years. This is three times the national average and is a big part of our success, as we continuously find ways to improve our methods.
What are school hours?
8:20 until 2:45.
I work full time, so is wrap-around care available?
Yes. Early care starts at 7:00 and after care ends at 6:00.
In today’s age, do you have security measures in place to protect my child?
Yes. We have a secure building and a tightly controlled process for child pick-up and for school dismissal. Additionally, all employees and volunteers undergo a background investigation.
What kind of “special” classes do you have?
Art, computer lab, gym, library, and music.
What kind of music instruction do you offer?
We offer piano, violin, viola, guitar, flute, drums, and voice.
Do you take field trips?
